The subleties of a good cappuccino maker

Your Ad Here
By Robert Spicer

Nothing can be compared with the sheer exhilaration of waking up in the morning, feeling dewy fresh, listening to the twittering of birds (not Internet twitter, mind you) and having a cup of freshly brewed hot coffee at an undisturbed leisure! Nothing, absolutely zip can come nearer to this joy. You could be the wealthiest person on earth, but if you're not graced with this sort of happiness, you do not know what you are missing!

I for one can't give up my first cup of joy for anything in this world and all slimming trends can be shelved. My first cup of joe must have creamy milk, right amount of sugar, rich-smelling decoction, all in a large-sized mug. I don't trust in compromises where a cup of aromatic coffee is concerned. Only true coffee buffs will endorse my view.

For a number of years "till about 2 years ago -, I depended on the conventional chrome steel filter for my coffee. Truthfully, I had not even heard of domestic cappuccino maker. I had always thought only coffee bars and restaurants used cappuccino makers for commercial coffee. I had tasted frothy cappuccino a considerable number of times though and had considerably liked the taste.

After giving up my steadfast stainless-steel coffee filter, I had switched over to electric coffee maker that was quite trustworthy. I could make not less than 6 cups of good-flavored coffee at any point of time. I did face Problems when there was no electricity or the inverter went out of order.

Latterly, my sister presented me with a wonderful looking Italian cappuccino maker and wasn't I glad? I could not believe that she had paid less than $100 for it. The best part was, I could use it on any cooking medium and I did not have to be dependent on electricity. It is a three-part device with a sturdy handle and takes just one or two minutes to give you creamy, frothy and super hot cappuccino. Water is added at the bottom chamber, which on boiling mixes with the ground seeds at the center and the freshly brewed decoction combines with the creamy milk at the top to offer you creamy, hot cappuccino!

Coffee Percolator

By Grace Lopez

What is a coffee percolator?

It is dangerous to use because it easy to over extract the coffee bean thus making bitter coffee with unpleasant taste and aroma. The coffee percolator is divided into two parts in which the boiling water flows down the central tube and then it is back down through the ground coffee beans.

These are generally made up of two types of metals such as aluminum or stainless steel.

The very first percolator was invented by an American scientist and soldier named Count Rumford in 1814. Percolators cycle the boiling brew continuously through the grounds until reaching the desired strength. The heating device could be stovetop or electrical. The first patent for coffee percolator was awarded to James Mason in the year 1865.

Coffee And Hungry

"Menurut beberapa orang, mengonsumsi kopi baik untuk menunjang program diet karena membantu kita menahan rasa lapar. Benarkah demikian?"

"According to some people, drinking coffee good to support the diet program because it helps us withstand hunger. Is this correct?"

Not really. According to Dr. Inge Permadhy, MS, SpGK, nutrition specialist from the department of Cipto Mangunkusumo, Jakarta, caffeine in coffee functioning blood vessels dilate and increase the body's metabolism to burn fat. However, it does not mean coffee is able to lose weight. The first reason, we can’t measure how many cups of coffee to be drunk to be an effective fat-burning process. Another reason, there are side effects if you drink too much coffee.

Caffeine increases the production of acid in the stomach, causing indigestion. In addition, we usually drink coffee with sugar added. This would negatively affect blood sugar levels.

The effect of coffee could actually starve does not apply to everyone. Relationship has not been proven scientifically. The most logical explanation is the sugar in a coffee substitute in the body's glucose needs. In some people, the impact doesn’t lead to hunger. However, it can also be caused by the habit and the feeling of drinking coffee if it's already been filled. Instead of drinking coffee, I advise you to exercise if you want to go on a diet.

For ulcer patients, coffee is a great enemy to be avoided because caffeine increases the production of stomach acid. Coffee also creates anxiety, insomnia, and tremors (shaking hands).

First Coffee at 2011

The past is memories

Happy new year 2011
Goodbye memories
Welcome hope

Like some coffee? The first day in the New Year should go to work. Where almost everyone last night celebrating new year and of course also sleep late at night. Should this sunny morning, good for relaxing at home with my family enjoying the warm sunshine in the morning while drinking coffee plus fried bananas (Pisang Goreng). To against the sleepiness of having to go to work, immediately opened by sipping a cup of hot black coffee............I may include a big fan of coffee, with consumption 3-4 cups a day....

To place the work trying to find information about the coffee, knowing not a lot of work to be completed (holiday bro....) and I find the abstract of a study in Annals of Internal Medicines, 2008; 148 (12) :904-914. The title: The relationship of coffee consumption with mortality ".

This study is a study of "prospective cohort" which is the observation of many years (for 18 years in men and 24 years in women) involving 41 thousand more men and 86 thousand more healthy women with no history of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Their coffee consumption since the year 1980 (for women) and the year 1986 (for men) were recorded and analyzed, associated with the incidence of death due to cancer or cardiovascular disease or other causes. Coffee consumption are grouped into several categories, namely: <1 cup / month, 1 cup / month - 4 cups / week, 2-3 cups / day, 4-5 cups / day,> = 6 cups / day.
(Including that which you now?)........

The result ?
Apparently there is an inverse relationship between the number of drinking coffee with incidence of death from cardiovascular disease, and had nothing to do with caffeine intake. In addition, there was no significant relationship between coffee consumption with mortality due to cancer or other causes. Consumption of decaffeinated coffee seems to have anything to do with a slight decrease in deaths from cardiovascular disease.
Well you know.....so drinking coffee was any good, but.......benefits of light drinking coffee to a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease still needs further research.

Hmmm...coffee is already part of the routine of my days. Can not imagine that a day without coffee, will be what this world...hehehehe

Some say that they are fond of drinking "black coffee" without the added milk and sugar, is a true coffee drinker. Actually there are no fixed rules for coffee, for example in the Middle Eastern countries or Africa, drinking coffee plus cinnamon and other spices. Talking about good coffee, drinking black coffee can enjoy the original taste is thick and well-balanced, while the milk or cream can relieve chocolate, sugar is added to change the bitter taste becomes sweet.

For some people, black coffee without sugar is always associated with bitterness. Some people try to improve the bitterness it with supporting components, but the essence of a cup of coffee was then lost. A cup of black coffee without sugar is not necessarily a cup of bitterness, there is a sweetness that can be felt in bitterness for those who can appreciate it.

In short, plus milk, cream and sugar or not, depending on the enjoyment of each. Choose coffee that you like, you'll enjoy the pleasure contained.

7 Tips for Healthy Drinking Coffee

Your Ad Here
For me, the best blogging friends in the morning are coffee. In patients with hypertension often have I asked about their habits of drinking coffee. It is not surprising if in fact they were drinking an average of 5 cups of coffee a day! Then I also advised them to leave the habit of drinking coffee, and coffee from Indonesia has a high taste and popular throughout the world. Loss? Well, before joining the group of people who should not drink coffee and could only swallow hard to see other people drinking the sweet black this, it helps us to know "7 Tips for Healthy Drinking Coffee" the following:

1. Dosage
Indeed there has been no definitive measure for the dose of coffee may be consumed. However, most studies reveal that drinking 300 mg of caffeine (about 1 to 3 cups of coffee a day) did not give a negative effect on most healthy people.

2. Danger Signals
While sipping coffee actually feels good, but often followed with an abundance of guilt. Recognize the danger signals of coffee so that we know when to stop drinking coffee. Danger signals are: anxiety, palpitations, sleep disturbances and mood disorders (eg, quick-tempered). Coffee drinkers who stopped drinking coffee may experience "caffeine withdrawal" which is characterized by a throbbing headache, but these symptoms will disappear after 24-48 hours or get a new dose of caffeine.

3. Listen Response Body
Everyone has their own limits on caffeine consumption. Most people can consume 2 cups of coffee a day without any problems. But there is also experiencing the bad effects of coffee consumption with the same amount. Someone told me after drinking a cup of coffee became unable to sleep through the night, on the contrary there are sound asleep after drinking coffee. So, the best way is to listen to the body's own response!

4. Know Caffeine Content
After knowing the dose and the response of the body, it helps us know the caffeine content in the products that we usually consume. In order not to copy the recommended dose has been reached, yet we still consume other products that contain caffeine, so feel the ill effects of coffee. Some other products that contain caffeine should be noted such as: soft drinks, candy coffee, tea, chocolate, migraine headaches.
How processing (roasting and Brewing), also affected the content of caffeine in coffee. For example, a study shows, a cup of coffee at Starbucks contains an average of 259 mg caffeine compared to coffee with the type and size of the same cup at Dunkin Donuts, which only contains 149 mg of caffeine.
From other studies, decaf coffee (coffee without caffeine), both for those who are obese because they can increase HDL ("good" cholesterol) of approximately 50%. While those who are not obese in fact can lower HDL cholesterol that can increase the risk of heart disease.

5. Coffee Mix
Five milligrams of calcium is lost for every 6 ounces of coffee consumed. But the loss of calcium can be overcome by adding 2 tablespoons milk or make espresso latte. While the coffee mixture with alcohol is not good, especially in people with liver disorders and coffee with cream mixture should also be avoided to reduce the excess calories. Caffeine also interacts with several types of drugs. For those who are taking medication, should consult a doctor. Many of them think the coffee's best friend is smoking. Don't mistake! Real coffee drinkers do not smoke! Cigarettes can reduce the pleasure of coffee you know ...

6. Anti-Coffee Group
The following groups are advised to avoid coffee: pregnant women, children, parents, people with heart and blood vessel disease (eg hypertension). Now, if this group is included, forget the coffee!

7. Check Up
Perform periodic checks on health, in this case is to measure blood pressure. The earlier hypertension is known, the better to subsequent treatment.
