Why Link Should Try Vegetarian Recipes

As the Hero of Time, Link has plenty of abilities to speak of. He's a proficient sword-fighter, of course, but his propensity to horseback ride and shoot arrows, amongst other skills, showcase just how versatile he can be. Considering all of this, though, he must need a lot of energy and he would have to eat right in order to give himself the most plentiful amount of energy imaginable. Maybe it'd do the hero in green well to use vegetarian recipes.

I can't say that Link eats many animal products in his life, either. The reason I say this is because the constant ingestion of animal products can be quite taxing on the human body. It has a harder time battling the bacteria that can come into the body, thereby increasing the risk of illness. Link must stay healthy if he wants to have any chance at Ganondorf, which our hero has managed to do time after time for those who are fans of the series.

Link will have to abstain from animal products constantly since they seem to be just about everywhere in Hyrule. For example, the Lon Lon Ranch has cows which are able to product milk. This very milk is used by Link in order to replenish his health. As good as it can be when it comes to the game, I can't imagine that constant indigestion of that product is healthful for him. It's a heavy liquid that can, no doubt, slow down the nimble hero.

Companies such as Quorn know all too well how pertinent meat-free products truly are, especially in combination with alternative foods. Vegetarian recipes have surfaces as a result, showing just how certain dishes can teeter the line separating tasty and healthy. The line is balanced so finely and it results in such dishes being utilized with the utmost taste. Even the most hardened of meat lovers have accepted these dishes.

Don't you believe that Link would be much more of an effective hero if he took on a more meat-free diet? His body is his temple, especially with the battle against darkness constantly looming over him. He's a hero and, as a result, should treat his body like a hero should. Having a bit of leeway of okay, especially when you see just how much taste certain vegetarian dishes have, but Link should never lose focus of his sense of self and how he treats it from a dietary standpoint.
