Everyone loves good food. Whether it is at home or in our favorite restaurant, a quality dining experience just sets off the day in a special way.

The factor that makes food special is the ingredients and the method of preparation. A unique ingredient can make food special where nothing else could.

Recipes comprise of numerous factors. One of the more interesting ingredients is ketchup.

Are there gourmet recipes that have ketchup?

There is a special zest in adding ketchup to some recipes. The recipe is made special using ketchup. The name of the recipe is Barbecued Catfish. You mix all the ingredients to include cup of ketchup to make a sauce. All the ingredients are mixed up in cup of ketchup to form the sauce. The cat-fish is marinated within the mixture and let to stand in the fridge for 15 minutes. You should take 12 minutes to cook the fillets continuously basting them with sauce, afterwards, you should have a fine meal.

Another of my favorite recipes that is enhanced by ketchup is called Crockpot Sloppy Joes. The method is to mix the ingredients and cook them in a crock-pot for 6 hours and afterwards serving them on a toasted hamburger bun for a great meal.

What of barbecued spareribs. The recipe for this involves using cup of ketchup for glazing your barbecued spareribs for an exquisite taste. You mix all the ingredients together. You then pour over the ribs and bake for about 1 to 2 hours. If you want them extra flavorful, you can marinate the ribs for 3 to 4 hours before baking them for that special taste.

Here is an interesting recipe. You mix your 1 cup of ketchup with 1 cup of root beer, some lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and some brown sugar. This is then boiled while stirring it from time to time. You then simmer until you have about 1 volume Seasoning may be added to taste. This makes a wonderful barbecue sauce. You can keep the sauce in the fridge until you need it some other time.

To conclude, there is the Barbecued Tex-Mex Wings. You add cup of ketchup to the other ingredients to produce a basting sauce. The wings are basted while you are grilling them. You might burn them by basting as there is a high sugar content. After 10 minutes, you might be having some good wings courtesy of ketchup.

The recipes are just examples of the many that exist. My friends pester me on the condiment though all these recipes be very tasty. Luckily I buy in bulk or use ketchup coupons every chance I get.
