Lately it seems like everyone is obsessed with steaming mugs of coffee that is flavored. No one can get enough of it. For the most part we stop at coffee shops and pick up a cup of our favorite flavor. This is fine once in a while, however the coffee at the shops is very expensive, if you stop there with any regularity you'll quickly notice savings starting to dwindle. One way to still enjoy your favorite coffee flavor and not spending an obscene amount of money is marking flavored coffee in your own kitchen.

One of the reasons why the coffee in coffee shops tastes so good is because they do not use cheap coffee. There is not any rule that states that you can not use instant coffee, however the final result will not be quite the same as the coffee sold in the shops. For the best flavor, you will want to purchase a good quality coffee. To help save money, only use the pricier coffee when you want to treat yourself with some flavor and stick to your instant coffee for your morning pick me up.

You are not going to add the flavor until the coffee has finished brewing. You will want to pour yourself an mug and mix the flavoring directly into your cup. One of the simplest ways to make sure your coffee tastes just like the coffee at the coffee shop is to purchase the same flavoring.

Since handling these bottle can be difficult, you can pour some of the syrup into a smaller, easier to handle bottles. If you do not have any smaller bottle, you can try a clean eye dropper. Add only a small amount of syrup and keep sampling the coffee until you have it flavored perfectly, too much flavoring tastes terrible.

Even though the syrup sold in the coffee shops is easy to use and gives your coffee a rich, coffee shop flavoring it can get expensive. There are cheaper alternatives. One really simple and affordable is hot chocolate. Simply mix some powdered hot chocolate into your cup of coffee. Make sure that the powder has completely dissolved before drinking the coffee. For an extra creamy texture use a hot chocolate that lists milk as one of its main ingredients.

Another alternative to expensive syrups is flavored creamers. These are usually available at your local grocery stores and are reasonably priced. They come in an ever increasing range of flavors and these creamers add a richness to your coffee that syrup just can not match. The one thing that you have to be careful of is the expiration date on the creamer, if you do not use the creamer very often you will want to make sure that it has not spoiled.

It is possible to make your very own flavored syrup that you can use to add some zing to your morning coffee. The process is simple; all you have to do is mix 2 teaspoons of extract with 2 cups of sugar and one cup of water. Let the concoction boil until the sugar is completely dissolved. The homemade flavoring will keep for a month as long as you store it in your refrigerator

Natural flavor drops is the best low cost alternative to flavoring coffee. Flavoring concentrates are easy to carry and even easier to use. The best thing is, natural favor concentrates have 0 carbohydrates. Another great advantage of using these products is the variety of flavors they come in, from the basics like vanilla and hazel nut to the delightful taste of caramel or cinnamon bun.

There is something about being able to drink a cup of coffee that has a hint of flavor that makes a person feel special. Being able to enjoy that same cup of coffee in your own home instead of a noisy coffee shop is even better. Pretty soon you will start to wonder why it took you so long to start brewing your own flavored coffee.
