Defining this aspect differs from where you come from, most importantly categorizing pristine food entails that crops are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, weeds are under control without chemical herbicides. In organic farming, pests stay under control using natural methods.

Products like dairy, eggs, and meat should come from domestic animals fed using natural feeds and not conventionally made feeds. Furthermore, such livestock must not be given supplements and medicines during mating to help fight disease. Natural methods are used to prevent disease like rotational grazing.

A comparison of natural produce versus conventionally-grown produce focuses on types of fertilizers used, methods of dealing with weeds and dealing with the pest.
